At SERVPRO of College Park, Hyattsville, we take pride in honoring the incredible individuals who make our community a safer place. This past Sunday, during the UMD basketball game against Rutgers, we had the privilege of recognizing Deputy Fire Chief - Paramedic Oluwafunmike Omasere as our Hometown Hero.
Omasere, with 27 years of service at DC Fire and EMS Foundation, has played a critical role in coordinating fire and EMS efforts during major incidents, including 9/11. Her commitment to service, leadership, and mentorship is evident not only in her work on the frontlines but also in her outreach efforts through the Women’s Advisory Council. Omasere has also been instrumental in running programs like Camp Spark and Girl Scout First Aid training, helping empower young girls and future first responders.
At SERVPRO of College Park, Hyattsville, we’re proud to recognize leaders like Omasere, whose service extends beyond their official duties to truly impact the community.
Go Terps, and here’s to celebrating all the local heroes who make our communities stronger!
